Letter 2 to Max

The second and their letter is actually for Max Garvs's indemnifier on his student loan in Hong Kong.

Since this letter is also related to Max, I still post it here so he knows what he is missing.

This is a letter regarding an owing of HK$348,137.10, approx. USD 45000, (as at 19/06/2015) by Mr. Max Garvs.

Now the Hong Kong Government chase after Max Garvs's indemnifier for the money.  However, we are not able to obtain a response from Max Garvs.

Recovery of Outstanding Student Loan(s)

Non-means-tested Loan Scheme Loan Ref. No.: EO484284-6-01

We act for the Head, Working Farnily and Student Financial Assistance Agency (formerly the Controller, Studen Financial Assistance Agency).

By a Deed(s) of Indemnity made between you and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ( "the Government"), you undertook to indemnify the Government against any loss, costs and expenses resulting from or arising out of a corresponding Undertaking(s) signed by the aboves student.

We are informed that the above student has breached the corresponding Undertaking(s) by failing to repay the outstanding instalments on their due dates. As such, you are liable to repay the full amount of outstanding loan(s) together with interest and surcharge/annual administrative fees, totally HK$348,137.10 (as at 19/06/2015)  immediately. Details of the outstanding amount(s) are set out in the Annex(es) hereto.

We hereby give you notice that unless you settle  the outstanding sum together with interest and surcharge/annual administrative fees on or before the date mentioned in paragraph 3 hereinabovelegal proceeding will be instituted against you and the above student to recover the outstanding surn together with legal costs and further interest forthwith without further notice. You are requested to ascertain from this department the exact outstanding amount before making payment.  Please see Annex 1 for payment instructions.
